SKELTON grew out of a family of musicians when father and mother, Craig and Deb, teamed with son and daughter, Dan and Jerri back in 2017. “When we started Craig was the only professional musician among us,” says bass player/vocalist and ARIA Music Teacher Of The Year 2018 nominee, Deb Skelton. “So I never put any limitations on anything because I wasn’t sure where we would get, but where we have reached in three years surpasses anything I could have imagined.” On their two 2018 EP releases – Resistance Is Futile! and Choosing Happy – SKELTON’s genre-diverse alternative pop encompasses styles reminiscent of Ben Folds, Elton John, Missy Higgins and Toto. ‘All I Wanna Be’ (the second single from ‘Choosing Happy’), garnered a 2019 WAM Song of the Year nomination in the Act, Belong Commit category. SKELTON released a standalone single ‘Coffee & Hope in late 2019 and in 2020 were chosen by WAM to record their new single ‘We Got It Wrong’ as part of the ‘Demos from Binjareb’ project.
