Skinny Wizard (aka Christy Wositzky-Jones) is a producer, DJ and live electronic artist based out of Melbourne/Naarm, Australia. Effortlessly combining a range of genre influences in his productions, Skinny Wizard creates a unique hybrid sound with an emphasis on sampling, synthesis and energy-driven grooves. With a background in keyboards and improvisation, and a strong career in the Australian live music scene (with acts such as Empress, Harmony Byrne, Gordon Koang, Evening News), Skinny Wizard first emerged in 2019 with a live show featuring a collection of drum machines, sequencers and synthesisers, and quickly became a sought-after live artist and DJ in the Melbourne club scene. 2020’s “Heat Wave/Mutual Commute” saw Skinny Wizard’s first steps in turning his unique live sound into productions. Upcoming release “Off Lead EP” out on Helsinki-based Echocentric Records sees Skinny Wizard further flex his production abilities with four diverse textural and emotive club-ready tracks.
