Skunkwerks is the brainchild of Bennett Joy &Daniel Stone. The two met during high school through a love of awesome music. Back in those days it was all about Big Beat; the sounds of The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, The Prodigy, Leftfield, Basement Jaxx and Daft Punk to name a few.. Fast forward to 2004 when the two fell in love with the syncopated rhythms of Drum & Bass. Through the sounds of artists like Pendulum, Noisia, Calyx and Subfocus the guys became addicted. They got their hands on a pair of decks and started spending every cent they had on 12 inch vinyl. The two played a bunch of shows around their hometown of Adelaide but both wanted something more.. In 2007 Bennett completed an Advanced Diploma in Sound Engineering & Daniel a Diploma in Graphic arts. The plan began to take shape with an emphasis on unique sounds and art to match. The Skunkwerks Modus Operandi since then has been to create soulful DnB out of anything and everything. From chopped up 60's drum breaks
