After serving a stint as fill-in guitarist for Paper Arms, Jesse (Grenadiers, vocals/guitar) and Mike (Paper Arms, bass) bonded over a shared love of The Drones, Kill Devil Hills and the like. This bond was solidified after going to see The Kill Devil Hills one night not long after, and the inspiration to start a new project was born. Drafting Tom (Paper Arms) on drums, and James (Burning Sea) on guitar, the line-up was complete. After just a few rehearsals, this three-track demo was recorded and a show was played to an enthusiastic response. The band is very much in its infancy, but with more songs and shows in Adelaide and Melbourne in the near future, it's a band to watch. For fans of lyrical, abrasive rock ie. Grinderman, etc. Sleeptalker’s next show is at the Bendigo Hotel in Melbourne on October 6th w/Hoodlum Shouts, Margins and more.
