Rageance Cockfoster, Sampson Wagonsville and Hercules Wong co-founded SLIPPERY YIN in 2011 when the three men were working at the Balcatta faecal transplant centre. The original line-up played on improvised instruments made from stolen farm equipment items such as horse-shoes and milking devices. The recordings from these sessions were lost in the great fire of 2012 but the influence can be heard in SLIPPERY YIN’s later more conventional music using guitars, bass, drums and accordions overlaid with an array of electronic farm animal samples. Their fans are typically in the 60 plus age group and have described Slippery Yin's style as a psychedelia polka beat, layered with Turkmenistan funk metal guitars, infused with a slice of Kosovar acoustidelica. Pre-Covid they toured extensively in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. There they gained a huge following after their mind melting performances, most notably at a sold out show at the Potraviny in Kiev, Ukraine. The cheers of the
