Q: What do you get when you cross a love for playing jazz piano, the feeling of propulsion when listening to smooth hiphop beats and the nostalgia of enjoying a drink in a smoky bar? A: All that Slow Gin has to offer from its relaxed chillhop grooves. Slow Gin is a brand new Adelaide Chillhop project that has been quietly brewing and developing in the background for some time now. After capturing and collecting ideas for melodies and chord progressions via phone recordings for over two years it has now come time for these to be developed into lush chillhop tracks. Whilst drawing on influences from chillhop legends such as Idealism, Nohidea and Jinsang, Slow Gin still uniquely defines its own sound, with a blend of captivating piano melodies, emotive chord progressions, smooth beats, nostalgic phrases and wobbly organs.
