Slowcoaching is the musical project of Naarm/Melbourne songwriter Dean Valentino. Drawing inspiration from artists like Wild Nothing, Beach House and Kate Bush, Slowcoaching has long embraced hazy dream pop, with reverb-soaked guitars and angelic synth runs. A notoriously bad sleeper and nervous wreck, Slowoaching’s upcoming work captures the haunting yet peaceful moments between being awake and asleep - where old memories resurface, shapes slink in the shadows and ego dissolves. It’s an era free from judgement, where the only goal is to create for himself.
