Sluce Box began when two, happy go lucky lads, for arguments sake lets call them Dan and Shaun, were digging carelessly around the hills of Roleystone. Accidentally, the boys unearthed something otherworldly, like a banshee from another time came some haunting, deep flowing sounds released into the waxy ear canals of the 2 boys. standing knee deep in dirt our 2 parched little diggers had a vision. Their cunning idea ,so they tell me, was to firstly discover and then somehow, harness the hidden otherworldy sounds from the dirt that was now piled up high around their music studio. The 2 shovel rats now called themselves ‘Sluce Box’. The boys say the name originated from ancient Nowegian miners, a kind of riddle, roughly translanted into English it says - ‘He Who Finds Gold First, Gets First Wood.‘ I have to interject again here - I am fairly sure the boys stole the name from a tv show about a glory hole, whatever that is. Anyway, with the new name, came a new unwavering gusto. Day
