slutwyche is the new project from two self-proclaimed 'big queer idiot babies' hannah maddock and sinead auer. based in meanjin (brisbane), locals will recognise both musicians from the underground punk scene. however, as a project, slutwyche gravitates towards a hyper-pop sound inspired by the sweaty underground clubs of the early 2000s. or maybe just their primary school blue light discos. finding themselves bored, unhinged and inspired through lockdown, the duo decided to ditch their instruments to learn how to use garageband. combining maddock's 8 years of experience in the industry (having played stages alongside waax, ecca vandal, mallrat), auer's intellect and craft as a guitar technician, and homemade playlists featuring alice deejay, charli xcx, skrillex, sophie - the mayhem allowed the duo to reflect on their past selves.
