Smiles, Lies and Gunfire began playing music together in September 2010. Heavily influenced by 80's Rock'n'Roll, their set is energetic and cocky as all hell (reminiscent of bands such as Motley Crue, Guns'n'Roses and more recently The Darkness). Merely 2 months after forming, they decided to record a Homemade demo and release it. The recording session was a blur, yet somehow Engineer/Kinda Producer/Kinda Top Bloke Jared Daly was still able to pull an alright sound. Here are a few quotes. "fucking sickest band ive ever seen" - Skip from Lailaist "Everyone should check these guys out. i seen em last weekend at Runaway Bay Tavern for the Rock off and they fuckin killed it! Good ol' Rock and Roll!" -Inverted-Music Prezentz "Smiles, Lies and Gunfire are possibly the most influential band in Australia at this current time. Their music is undeniably the best around." -Cesar
