Born and raised in Queensland, Australia on July 19th 1990, moving around a lot as a kid, Smokey Sam would fall in love with Hip Hop music at an early stage in life growing up in one of the cultures strongest eras, the 90's! He first started writing raps of his own at 12 years of age, rapping out his lyrics for friends at high school and house parties in his new home town, Adelaide. In 2006, Smokey Sam recorded his first ever song with local rappers Jaykle and MC Frost titled 'Undefeated'. Smokey Sam appeared to be a beginner on the track however the song still gained positive recognition within Adelaide's Hip Hop scene. The 3 artists went on to release 4 more collaborations together which Smokey Sam would later put on his debut Mixtape. It wasn't until later on in 2011 that Smokey Sam started writing seriously on his own solo tracks and started compiling and recording beats and lyrics for a Mixtape. Fast forward to January, 2013 which is when Smokey Sam released his debut Mixtape
