SO.Crates is comprised of producer Skomes, Melbourne born and raised, and MC Cazeaux O.S.L.O, a Californian born Melbourne resident. Since 2015 the pair have played extensively throughout Melbourne, supporting the likes of Black Milk, Rapper Big Pooh, Brother Ali, 30/70, Average Rap Band, Mndsgn and more, including a recent set at Strawberry Fields. Their sound is a culmination of their shared loves of jazz, soul and hiphop in the vein of groups such as De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, and the late 90s/early 2000s Rawkus era. The pair self released the EP 'Static Methods' in May 2016, and are currently performing and recording new music.
