Formed in June 2015, SoccerPractise is a four-piece electronic group based in Auckland, New Zealand, who play a genre-bending hybrid of trip hop, punk and electronic soul music. SoccerPractise’s multimedia musical experience is one not to be missed. The group combine minimalist electro textures with catchy AF vocal hooks sung in English and te reo Māori, all bathed in lush reverb-soaked guitar lines. Their acclaimed live performance is augmented with psychedelic visual projections produced live onstage by band member Kim Newall. SoccerPractise have amassed a steady and growing roster of celebrated live performances in their short history, including a performances at Splore Festival, Oro Festival (supporting Underworld), Vice Party events, The Auckland Arts Festival, a 2016 NZ nationwide tour with Yumi Zouma and Doprah, support performances with Aldous Harding and Deradoorian (USA) and a tribute rendition of Moana Maniapoto’s Tahi for her lifetime achievement award at the APRA
