Sock Puppet Death Vomit formed in late 2008, and consists of three keen, talented young musicians. Although each member has a very diverse range of influences and experiences, they are united by one thing: metal. Their take on the contemporary metal scene pays homage to heavyweights of the genre such as Avenged Sevenfold and Metallica. They utilize lyrics that reflect on issues such as the superficial beliefs of modern society, and the presence of delinquents such as Joseph Fritzel in communities. However they aren’t afraid to sing about certain supernatural elements, for example the presence of Satan. The timbre incorporates many elements of music from brutal riffs to exhilarating cello solos to create an overall full on, electrifying feel.
