Sol Onyx are a Brisbane-based alternative band blending atmospheric depth with raw intensity. Their sound moves between haunting, melodic passages and crushing, emotionally charged heaviness, creating a dynamic contrast that defines their identity. Formed from diverse musical backgrounds, the band crafts immersive soundscapes that balance vulnerability and power, led by soaring female vocals layered over driving instrumentation. Their latest single “Ghosts” captures this tension—shifting from stripped-back restraint into explosive release—and offers a glimpse into their upcoming EP Aqua Atra, a conceptual journey through struggle, loss and resilience.
