Hailing from the north coast of Wollongong, Sydney-based group Solid Effort have crafted a unique brand of "leisure-punk". Their sound is a cross between The Go Betweens and Minutemen, although heavily influenced by the emergence of the local scene headed up by acts like Shining Bird & The Pinheads. Having been a band since 2014, & following a series of notable supports with Fat White Family (UK), Gooch Palms, Shining Bird, Unity Floors & Tonsstartsbandht (USA), Solid Effort released their debut EP 'Ballad of Bulli' in 2015 via No Safe Place & Le Boogie Records. They are currently working on their debut album, to be released in 2017.
