Birthed from the piano and pen of Tim Friesen and Tony Hawkins, Sōmaphore began in 2001 as a songwriting partnership between two friends about to finish high school. Over the next seven years they would write and record four albums of ever evolving chamber pop. 2020 would see Friesen pour his mastery into an EP of new material and a more fully realized version of their home recorded second album.
