SONAMULATE is based on the English term somnambulate which means to sleep walk, (pronounced: Son-am-you-late) it was thought to be a little more catchy with the new spelling and pronunciation. Sonamulate's greatest success story so early in their career was winning the UniSong international Songwriting 1st Place Award for Rock And Alternative, and Top 20 runner up in R&B and Hip Hop. keeping the theme of the sleepwaker in the form of a Zombie-Child, tortured inside until becoming a wraith apon mankind. Sonamulate has leaned towards very melodic Music and well written lyrics that seem to appeal to ages between 5 and 70, but was originally aimed at teens that struggle with depression and anxiety. Justin Banks, founder, decided that Sonamulate was not going to be another band with brilliant extensive guitar solo's or constant screeming, but rather head towards Melodic Metal and Rock very similar to Linkin Park, which Earned Sonamulate the Success of Winning the International Unisong
