Sonic Ctrl rock the indie Sydney music scene in a diverse fashion. This collection of musicians each write from their personal influences and once combined, produce what can only be described as eclectic indie rock. Their core sound emerges from punk, acoustic folk, heavy rock, and pop rock. Sonic Ctrl wants the world to know that rock and roll is ageless. Inclusivity, fun and love of music are all the ingredients that matter. Writing from the heart and mind, Kelly’s leading lyrical influence is Australian acoustic singer-songwriter Josh Pyke. Inspirations across the four band members range from Australian acoustic folk duo Angus and Julia Stone to American punk rock legends, Ramones. What Sonic Ctrl so elegantly spit out could be described as classic Blondie meets American grunge rockers Garbage. Their tunes welcome, and can appeal to, any person of any era and any lover of rock and roll.
