Sonya is a Ngarrinjderi/Narungga singer/songwriter who writes from the heart and reflects on her personal experiences. Sonya was a graduate in 2008 from the Centre of Aboriginal Studies in Music at the University of Adelaide. Sonya has performed at various events in Adelaide including the 2010, 2011 & 2012 SA NAIDOC Family Fun Day and SA NAIDOC Ball, SA Survival Day in 2011, The Fringe festival at the Spirit Festival in 2012 & 2013, Highlights for Sonya were being featured as emerging talent on NITV music program 'Fusion with Casey Donovan' in 2012 and in 2013 being a part of Archie Roach's 'Into the Bloodstream' concert in Adelaide as a part of the SA Guest Choir.
