Sook
Beginning in '97, Sook is a Gold Coast band started by Kirk Mesmer. Drawn and influenced by originality, there is a gentle beauty that shines through the harmonies in Sook’s music making for unforgettable songs with certain timelessness.
SOOK are a 3 piece band from Sydney who love to combine poetic lyrics with thrashy riffs. Fairly new on the scene, SOOK have already lined up slots supporting bands like Good Boy, and have put together a boutique festival called SOOKFEST which was immensely successful. They have also recently released their debut single "I'm Not Your Woman" and are working on their debut EP.
Unlike his music up and coming talent Sook is composed of 61% oxygen, 18% carbon and 10% Hydrogen. The elements which make up his body were formed billions of years ago in a star and are certainly much older than he or dubstep is. Of the remaining 11% of his composition by mass less than 0.01% is Selenium. Although having absolutely nothing to do with his bass driven dancefloor destroying beats, like all multicellular Eukaryotic life forms this element is required in trace amounts for Sook’s cellular function and mediate the effects of specific cellular responses.
