Canberra artist/producer Sophie Edwards is a true trailblazer. She’s the first Australian artist to have studied a Masters of Songwriting and Production at the Berklee College of Music in New York City, as well as a former Young Australian of the Year nominee for her work supporting female/non-binary artists in the Australian music industry. Since returning from her overseas studies, she’s made a name for herself as one of Australia’s most innovative songwriters and producers. Consistently supported by triple j and triple j Unearthed, she’s performed at Spilt Milk as a triple j Unearthed winner, as well as at BIGSOUND, Groovin the Moo and more. Outside of her own artist project, she’s produced/co-written with artists such as Kimbra, Jerry Barnes (bassist for Nile Rodgers), Jared Benjamin, Lara Buchanan, and Jade Alice (Blusher). She’s currently working on her debut self-produced album, scheduled for release in 2026.
