An accomplished guitarist of longer than she’d have you know, Sørine, also known as Kristy, is also a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. Upon arriving in Melbourne in the midst of lockdowns and uncertainty, Kristy started Sørine as a project to do something completely different. With years of stage experience in rock bands, Sørine sounds heavily rock influenced, however there are songs of other genres, including acoustic, surf, post-hardcore, and metal. Although she can appreciate the beauty of a beautiful song performed by a great singer, Kristy wanted to see if she could create soundscapes that stood on their own without vocals. Sørine is the result of that search.
