Soulcolours history goes back to early 2001 with both members, Mike Watkins & Simon Claridge being drummers for bands in high school. After both finding a niche for electronic music early on, they combined they electronic state of mind with their passion for drums and percussion, there was one genre that stood out from the rest....drum and base. The boys find iconic backdrops to play their experimental sound across Australia and New Zealand, playing to help listners see past the face value of most music and deepen their beliefs of why they are here on this planet. Both Mike & Simon grew up in Christchruch, New Zealand. They are now living in Sydney working hard on their first EP. Soulcolour are not just a band, they are a team of individuals who see past the common themes of conventional drum & base, they have a unique sound feuled by a passion for all music and production, when performing live the boys mix all inner spectrums of the soul, each spectrum has its own colour
