One time before I started producing I asked another producer what he did and he said “I SLAPP BEATZ”! I didn’t know what that quite meant then, I don’t really know what it means now but I guess that’s what I do. I realised If you just say something with a lot of confidence people have to believe you. I’m from Auckland but I’m currently living in Melbourne. The coffee is better here. Influences are hip hop, early 2000’s pop (Aqua could really, how you say, “Slapp Beatz”), all those Sunday Chill Session album compilations (think Massive Attack/Groove Armada) and weird sounds, shoutouts r/vintageobscura. I wouldn’t make anything I wouldn’t listen to (unless there’s a massive pay check and I’m totally fine with selling out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) LBVS.
