Speakeasy
For fans of sleeping in; Speakeasy are four guys from Sydney's inner west writing sincere, intimate and sometimes downright miserable lyrics to pop music. Keep updated through our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts: speakeasyaus
Speakeasy like to hang wherever hard funk and muscle soul collide. Soulful vocals, funk grooves, and dirty horns combine in their original songs. Catch their sound on vinyl, online, and independent radio shows such as Vince Peach ‘Soul Time’ across Australia. Winners of the Voyager International Songwriting Competition, Soul and RnB category (judged by Dami Im and Isaiah Firebrace), their single ‘Straight Ahead’ spent a month in the AMRAP Metro charts top 10, peaking at #2. ‘The soundtrack of a powerful stride . . . the ultimate confidence boost’ (Amnplify)
“Speakeasy” are a 4 piece coming out of Melbournes south-eastern suburbs by the sea. Drawing from their broad influences of soul and reggae through to hip-hop, jazz & classical you can catch them on street corners, pubs, clubs, dance halls and high-class balls throughout Melbourne. Doin it for the love. Thats it, thats all.
