Speaker Dust has been on the Brisbane scene for almost a decade under various aliases. Benny B began as a solo artist under the guise of ‘Jap Eye’. As fortune would have it Benny's brother and long time bass player Jizzy G split with his band ‘Stuff n’ That’ and together the two brothers formed what was known as ‘Benny and the Ejaculi’. Dazza D joined the brothers B and the trio became known as ‘Benny and the Ejaculators’. More band names would soon follow, including ‘The Happy Jacks’ and ‘Dirt Box’ before the boys finally settled on ‘Speaker Dust’. Speakers Dust performs regularly and records their sessions in the Dust Bowl (underneath Benny’s house). Recently Speaker Dust has been using Pizza delivery boys to distribute their music to the masses. The Speaker Dust phenomenon spawned out of the inner city Brisbane suburbs.
