Spkezy were born at the bottom of the world, Tasmania, a tiny island state floating off the southern most point of mainland Australia. A place both naturally beautiful and intensely isolated, with more than enough forlorn and juxtaposition to produce a genre bending act. Having spent over ten years playing in different rock and metal bands, the guys in Spkezy came together with one specific idea in mind: to push not only themselves and their respective influences as far as they possibly can, but also the listener. To challenge the ideas of genre. Across an 80s inspired soundscape, futuristic EDM pulses throughout like an old movie continuously looping on VCR. sugary sweet Pop sensibilities melt away over auto-tuned R&B hooks and melodies begging to get stuck in your teeth just like a cavity. All of this is underpinned on a foundation of aggressive, driving Rock and beat heavy Hip Hop making sure you can feel the specialised Alt Dark POP/Rock deep within your chest.

Both solo artists in their own right, Scotts and Nicola Maree have come together to form Spkezy. Having met at university, Scotts and Nic have relished and cherished the opportunity to make music as Spkezy. Just a little something that's easy to listen to.
