'Soap' a taste of the relaxed side of spoonfull, has been described as 'hair-static' and 'spooky' by Amaru Zachariassen - Radio Host RTR FM Spoonfull, originally a punk rock band, was created in 2017 as a vessel for the music Tom Caughey was creating whilst in Year 10. Original members at the time were James Higgins and Charlie Harvey. Since then theres been a couple changes to the line up. The project has since developed and now Tom makes music in the back shack of his family farm, then jams it at boarding school with current band members, Lyndon Bateman, Lachy Phillips & Jay Mutter. This group has played a number of different gigs playing covers along with the original tunes. Tom, at 17 and currently finishing Yr 12, plays many different instruments which include guitar, ukulele, mandolin, drums, bass and keys. He was recently selected by WAM Music to record an original track for their ‘Demos of the Wheatbelt’ initiative and is waiting for the release of this in August.
