After forming in early 2010 this eclectic aquatic troop have already recorded the genre bending "Tribe of Squi", and toured down the East Coast in January 2011. Dazzling and frazzling crowds from Noosa to Wollongong, NSW. Highlights include The Buddha Bar in Byron, Winter Magic in Katoomba and a suprise performance with fellow Melbourne band "Good Suns" at the Illawarra Folk Festival. Now a 7 Piece act, with a theatrical high-energy performance; Squid Squad are constantly developing a unique sound that refuses to conform to one simple genre. They blend funk, soul, hip-hop, metal, jazz, dubstep, electronic samples and gypsy grooves with booty shakin' ease. So infectious is Squid Squad fever that they are regulary joined by many different artists such as dancers and a magician, various musicians, and a riot of MC's jumping up at any given time. With a guaranteed conga line at every show, joining The Squid Parade is inevitable!!!!
