Philip Beckett "Beck" started his public musical career as a member of Australian Indie darlings the Popular Mechanics in 1978, before moving on to Samarai Trash, who played melodic tunes with influences from folk to funk, rock to reggae, and the catchy pulsing rhythms still underpin Beck's latest offering "Prairie Pass". Scroll forward to the '90s where Beck recorded his solo work under the name St Novä Scene, including the original Prairie Pass recording, which was lost to the world when the Underfoot Records studio burnt down. Flash forward to 2021, technology & a touch of magic have salvaged the recordings for release. Sounding like Matt Johnson from The The, has had a long night at Burning Man, and after several bowls of ayahuasca has seen the truths of the universe. Beck, has earned his credentials, cutting his teeth in the Australian Indie scene.
