An authentic and down-to-earth storyteller, singer/songwriter Steph Bitter sits beautifully within her alternative, folk, indie and rock influences. From the warm, dulcet tones of Missy Higgins to the anarchic urgency of Delores O’Riordan, her melodies ignite a journey reflecting on life’s soaring highs and solemn lows. Her intelligent and impassioned songwriting is just as cathartic and intimate with a band as it is with only herself and an acoustic guitar. Starting from humble beginnings writing fantastical stories in her childhood bedroom, Steph took her storytelling to a new medium when she picked up the guitar at 14. With two EPs under her belt – First of May and Playful Thoughts of a Sentimental Heart – Steph is a powerfully dynamic and emotional performer.
