Inspired by great solo blues musicians such as Seasick Steve, Shaun Kirk and Claude Hay and has supported Australian blues troubadour Shaun Kirk on his national tour in 2017, Steph Fischer-Ivancsy, is an old soul in a new body belting out blues. With the loss of her father at the age of 16 and being resuscitated from a Diabetic coma shortly afterwards, Steph had found her pain and hardship was easy to ease through the power of blues music. The soul and passion is what drives her to create songs with messages about her issues and struggles in the life of a Type 1 Diabetic. Steph has released two bluesy/modern singles; ‘I Make No Money’ and ‘Warning Signs’ off her upcoming album that is full of chillingly raspy vocals with gutsy slide guitar. Known for playing with many guitars, cigar boxes, foot percussion, slide techniques and chillingly soulful vocals, Steph spawns the blues with a modern twist at an exciting new level in her performances.
