Stephanie Rogers was immersed in music from an early age. With her father, Christopher Rogers, being the hub of ‘all things music’ around Mildura, it wasn’t long before Steph made music a big part of her life. Although Steph had played other instruments before, she became serious about guitar by the age of 13 performing at the musicians club every few weeks. At the age of 16, Steph started to write music with a long time friend of hers, Samuel Rogerson, and they formed an acoustic duo Finding Flaws. Finding Flaws went on to support the likes of Neil Murray, Broderick Smith, Adalita, Epicure, Paul Greene, Jackson Firebird and Pete Denahy and played regular gigs around Sunraysia. 2007 saw Finding Flaws compete nationally in the WOTNEXT competition, in which Steph’s song ‘Sunshine’ was ranked in the top 30 industry picks. With the completion of VCE in 2008, Steph was chosen to perform an original song ‘Reach’ in Top Class (Top 10% of Victorian Music Performance Students) at the ABC
