Steve has been writing and performing his own music for a number of years as a solo artist and fronting a number of different line-ups. In late 2015 Steve recorded his second EP entitled ‘Far From Home’ with Shane O’Mara at his ‘Yikesville’ studio in Yarraville which was released independently. Emmaline is the first track on the EP and currently receiving airplay Internationally thanks to Musik & Film in the US. Early in his career Steve was “Unearthed” by National broadcast radio Triple J receiving high rotation airplay and a spot on the first Unearthed CD alongside other winners like Grinspoon as part of the prize. Steve’s solo offerings are typical of his “heart on sleeve” style with storytelling lyrics and floating melodies.
