Fuzzy-edged electronic producer Steven RKS returns in 2026 with PAST TIMES, a new single that bridges underground club energy with left-of-centre pop sensibility. The track pairs RKS’ raw, rhythm-driven production with DAYSHAWN’s smooth, disco-leaning vocal delivery, then pushes it further through the hands of London producer holy shape (aka Dane Burge). What began as a session at Bodega Studios, Sydney, soon travelled across the world to holy shape’s North London studio, where the track was reshaped into its final form. The result is a gritty but melodic dance cut; tough drums, warm bass movement and a soulful vocal that feels nostalgic without leaning retro. Steven RKS has built a reputation for dark, textural electronic music that sits between club and headphones, drawing on techno, electro and indie dance influences.
