Stillwater was formed in 2007 when Alex Waters (15) and Damien Cooper (15) (both guitarists) wrote a song together. They wanted to perform it at the school showcase so they got David Whitelock (14) to play bass and someone else to fill in on drums. The performance went well and Alex, Damien and Dave decided to start a three piece band, Damien played drums and Alex played guitar and sang. They called themselves Parts Leftover and wrote a few songs together. They played together for a while but found that their music was lacking something, so they searched high and low for a new musician and eventually found Tim Verrall (15). He was first recruited as a bass player, but it was soon discovered that he could sing and rap well. Tim suggested the name Stillwater and the name was changed from Parts Leftover to Stillwater. They play a mixture of styles and play both original songs and covers from bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters and Rage Against the Machine. No-one in
