Stina Tester is an artist currently working and creating in narrm Melbourne. Stina has spent a number of years collaborating with musicians and artists in Melbourne’s diverse and eclectic music scene. Stina played in various bands including spitehouse, Stina and Cinta, B.C. and plastic chairs. Making the most of that collaborative space, Stina moved between synth, bass, guitar and vocals, exploring and expanding her musical expression. In 2019, with just herself and a piano, Stina began crafting songs of a more intimate and reflective nature, creating a space where she could ponder big questions and big feelings with a touch of humour. Stina’s solo music is a place where she can explore vulnerability and her fascination with the deeper levels of human experience in a playful, creative way. Stina is also a visual artist and a qualified creative art therapist since 2020. Christina believes in the healing potential of art making and the ability to make sense of our lives through engaging in creative processes. Stina recently completed recording her debut EP ‘No Turning Back’ with Roger Bergodaz at Union Street Studio. ‘No Turning back’ features Stina's powerful and emotive voice, creative lyrics and skilled keys work. 'No Turning back' will be launched on the 18th of June, 5:30pm at the Post Office Hotel in Coburg.
