Stinkwood is the collaborative project of Peri and Kris. Two young producers grown in the gold fields of Victoria now smashing life in the notorious northern suburbs of Melbourne. Between them they share over a dozen years experience churning out experimental choonage. Stinkwood is all about the eclectic beats. Knowing few boundaries they jump between glitch, idm, trip-hop, beats, breaks, dubstep and even the ocasional bit of wonky tech. Their sets are unpredictable, laden with funk, injected with bowel destroying bass and topped off with a juicy dose of intricate detail. Unhealthily obsessed with sound design, they're often spotted loitering around noisy corners of northcote lugging masses of microphones and recording equipment. Ultimately they believe there's no right or wrong when it comes to sound design.
