Stop Hard are an inventive 3-piece who have built their sound around a total disregard for genre or pigeon-holing. Their use of improvisation around the core structure of well written songs and their constant attempt of capturing some feeling certainly makes them unique. Stop Hard formed out of a combination of two projects involving guitarist/singer/songwriter Damon. He and drummer Joel were looking for a new bass player to complete their trio at the same time as Damon was exploring some different music with keyboard player Ben. After too many unsuitable bass players were found and the discovery that Ben's keyboard was capable of putting out some pretty bassy notes, the two ideas became one, under the name derived from a particular playwrite that Damon and Ben were enjoying at the time. Straight away Stop Hard started playing shows in the flourishing Blue Mountains youth music scene, playing to audiences of up to 500 people. In 2007 they bashed out a self-recorded 9-track record
