Edit history

Straightjacket Symphony are an Austalian hardcore hip-hop group based in Melbourne. The group is comprised of two emcees, Rorshak, from Melbourne, and Skandal, from Geelong. Both emcees entered the Melbourne rap battle scene between late 2011-early 2012, and still battle regularly. In September 2012, Rorshak and Skandal faced each other in a battle, at 1 Out Street Battles Melbourne, with Rorshak emerging victorious. After the battle, the guys began work on a Skandal solo track set to feature Rorshak, titled "Another Level", which became the first track from their newly formed group, Straightjacket Symphony. Since their formation, SJS have been decicated to one thing and one thing only: delivering the hardest hitting rhymes, over the hardest hitting beats and making generic soft rappers look like bitches in general. Their battle experience is evident when listening to the brutal metaphors and wordplay in their lyrics. "We won't change our style to be accepted. End of story. SJS
