Study of Sound is an experiment of the blurred lines between ambient, drone, neoclassical, and post-rock. Principal creator Doug Reed combines his influences of punk rock, ambient, classical, drone, jazz, and even the gospel music he was force fed in childhood into an amalgam of sonic layers aimed as a meditation on melody, structure, repetition and juxtaposition.
