Suami Amabel is a Sydney-based singer-songwriter hailing from the South Coast of NSW. With her German and Uruguayan heritage, Amabel was exposed to a wide variety of cultural and musical influences, which have helped shape her writing and sound today. In early 2020 Amabel released her debut single 'White Wash', which received love on FBi radio, as she went on to perform a sold-out headline show at Lazy Bones Lounge (Marrickville) to celebrate the launch. She swiftly returned to the studio to release follow-up tracks 'International Line' and 'June,' playing a suite of sold-out shows at venues including Newtown's The Vanguard. Between live shows, Amabel writes with her band Naked Strangers, who are due to make a comeback in the coming months. Armed with powerful lyrical poetry, Amabel’s guttural vocals are delivered with a honey sweetness that sings a longing for the past.
