SUDS are from Melbourne/Bendigo/Queanbeyan and play slacktivist political punk rock to party to in the age of outrage. 'Whitewash' is the latest punk rock pub shout-along from SUDS, this time taking aim at scared white people who bang on about replacement theory; go to alt-right rallies; and promote white supremacy in Parliament and in right-wing media. SUDS don't hold back in this one and name check who they're talking about with impunity. There are no cryptic lyrics this time. Self-recorded and produced by SUDS drummer Jesse Sewell, 'Whitewash' follows the band's previous DIY tracks 'The Pub With No Fear' (2019) and 'TRUMPauline' (2018), all of which have taken aim at entrenched racism and other forms of bigotry in Australia and globally. Like so many live music acts, SUDS had to cancel plans for a national tour from Melbourne to Perth in 2020, but are amped to return to the live stage, after recent supports with Frenzal Rhomb and Future Of The Left (UK).
