A stunning, harrowing and technical sound set on a landscape of charging guitar lines, ludicrous drumming and moving vocals. Ugly thoughts turned beautiful – it’s a by-product of decades of work on behalf of each musician to create the music they wish they could listen to. With faint echoes of grunge tonality, the aggression and delivery of The Dillinger Escape Plan and the pop sensibility of Deftones and Karnivool, this band will be heard. Since forming its complete line-up in early 2017, Sum of us has recorded a 4 track EP with local Brisbane production outfit Head Atlas, filmed a studio documentary and guitar playthroughs with renowned music film artist Luke Mclean and played their first show in support of Australian metal giants, In Hearts Wake.
