With an all-consuming voice, haunting yet alluring, her lyrics are bare and deep, transporting you to a mystic trance of emotion. ‘The only word I can think of for a voice like Summer’s is arresting. It’ll stop you bolt in your tracks’ – Tommy Faith (Triple J Unearthed Executive Producer). Summer has been performing and songwriting since she was 6 and has been singing since she was 8. She starred as a lead singer in the Sweethearts for 5 years, which influenced her love for R&B and Soul music. Summer has an Alternative, Indie Folk style, where she finds inspiration from what’s never been done before. Those ‘tugs at your heartstrings’ will make you spiral into wanting more. :)
