Summer Rain
We started playing together in music class and just mucked around, then started writing new songs. We both grew up and lived in Cairns for most of our lives, and only started playing together early 2010. Today we still consider ourselves just mucking around.
Summer Rain is a Northern Beaches–based singer-songwriter making emotionally driven coastal folk-pop that sits somewhere between intimacy and quiet confidence. Her songs feel like snapshots of growing up, moving on, and figuring yourself out in real time — honest lyrics wrapped in warm guitars and melodic hooks. After winning the Northern Beaches Composure Unplugged competition, Summer Rain began releasing original music throughout 2025, building a steady local following through regular live shows and heartfelt performances. In January 2026, she released her debut EP The Version of Me You Knew, a collection of songs shaped by change, distance, and self-reflection. On stage, Summer Rain brings the same warmth and sincerity found in her recordings, recently celebrating the EP with a sold-out launch show and supporting David McCredie. Her live sets balance intimate moments with engaging energy, creating spaces where stories and connection sit at the centre.
