Summer Rhyme formed in mid 2012; the band is a five piece consisting of drums, keys, bass, guitar and two lead vocalists. With Hat John sitting in on percussion when we feel the need for further beating of skin. Stylistically we would touch on multiple genres including, reggae, rock, funk, a little touch o rap,(think Jack Js flirting with rap style deliveries) and pop. To elaborate in sonic interpretations: Andy the bassman delivers a groove that propels SR along, whether its a melodic reggae line or a funkathon rhythm he’s the brother....in an old sckool hat.....? Yuka plays piano clean or electric and organ voices to add a beauty to all she touches, think sonic Asian retro charm.....in a mini skirt kimono. Eamon loves the off beat.... :) , be it a little Rasta or funked rock it’s a 70s thing on a Ludwig kit.....yep its a metallic green one. Having male and female dual lead vocals give SR an engaging quality.....keeps you connected to the songs..... Old school; its about songs. Jo
