SunBird is a vocal trio of award winning singer songwriters. Their unique sound will take you on a captivating journey from satirical commentary on society to intimate songs of love and loss. Stripped back and playing an assortment of acoustic and electric instruments, this is storytelling at its best. Attendees of major festivals including Port Fairie, Gympie Muster and the Tommy Emmanuel Gibson Showcase in Nashville, these entertainers arrive with vast experience in both live performance and recorded projects.. With an APRA sponsored QMusic award, ARIA nods for recorded projects and international touring under their belts, they have been referred to as the 'accidental super group' "SunBird are a World Class, International Act".... Tony Hillier, National Music Journalist (The Australian)

Sunbird is the main focus for Perth roots rock musician Dave Lawrence, longtime guitarist for Perth then Sydney rock weirdos Fondula. This is a flexible project which might see Dave performing solo acoustic or with rhythm section and an array of soloists, this year's crop including clarinet, saxes, trumpet, violin and percussion... Sunbird have joined forces with Scott Kociuruba's Mister and the Near Mrs to create the formidable Mister and Sunbird touring revue... Wonder twin powers activate! They recorded a double album, 'Spirit Fingers', together earlier in 2008 and are currently dividing their time between Europe and Australia. There's never a dull moment, let alone a dull show. Catch them if you can
