Sunset Stranger is the alt-country project of Melbourne guitar picker and songwriter Stephen E. Stanisic. His songwriting draws inspiration from the storytelling traditions of country, folk and blues music, the music of British Folk Revival and American fingerstyle guitarists, and the cosmic country songwriters of the 60's and 70's. His new album 'Your Home Town' continues the exploration of melodic storytelling backed by finger-style acoustic guitar and an electric alt-country band, featuring some well-known members of Melbourne’s music scene, including Pete Fidler (Bluestone Junction), Luke Richardson (Raised By Eagles), Craig Woodward (Flying Engine String Band), Helena Plazza (Honeymoon Bridge), David Bramble (Sugar Fed Leopards) and Nathan Power (Nathan Power Band).
